REVIEWS
This Section is Under Construction and will be available in Summer 2021
Within this section I will be providing reviews which reflect my personal opinions on various cinematic endeavors that I find interesting. As such my views on the filmography, story, plot, and characters may or may not mesh with other opinions of the material: all of which could vary from the originally conceived thoughts and ideas of the creators. THIS IS OK! We are all individuals and have our own ways of interpreting and interacting with entertainment. I would ask that any differences of opinion be addressed in a professional manner.
These reviews will focus on films, series, and franchises which exist within the realms of Fantasy, Science Fiction, Mythology, Legend, and occasionally (but not often) Thrillers. A list of items to be reviewed will be available. Any item on the list which is colored in GOLD has already been completed and is available for viewing. Similarly, any item on the list which is colored in RED has not been completed yet, but will be within the next 30 days. Each item will also have a date assigned to it. This date will reflect the point in time that it became (or will become) available to the public.
One of my biggest pet-peeves within the modern version of the digital era is the fact that everyone must be "the first." This mentality means that most reviewers will line up for the first screening of a film and post their reviews (with spoiler warnings - yay) onto social media prior to opening night's conclusion. Similarly, in the world of television (specifically streaming services), many reviewers have gotten into the habit of watching the newest episodes in the very early AM, and than immediately posting their reviews, followed by reactions, and even a dissection of the various episodic elements. All of which are already online and vying for the consumers attention before they even wake up! I feel that this is intrusive and robs the viewers of the ability to enjoy the material in an unbiased manner; therefor any review that I create will be respective of the audience and will not be posted or shared until a minimum of 72 hours has passed from the date of premier. I understand that this does mean that even if I am the first to think of something in regards to the media in question it may/may not appear that way based on the time of my publication. THIS IS ALSO OK!
I hope that you and yours find my musings on these chosen cinematic endeavors entertaining, enlightening, and above all enjoyable. Thank You.
